This year the Salem/Roanoke County Bar Association is partnering with the Virginia Mountain/Valley Lawyers' Alliance to present a very exciting CLE program in both the Roanoke Valley and Wytheville.  With sponsorship from Thomson Reuters,  The Answer Company -- and their FindLaw and Westlaw representatives -- we will be able to offer you some of the best and most entertaining CLE in Western Virginia -- Nay -- All of Virginia -- Strike that -- ALL the USA or the World Even.  As always, SRCBA Members may attend the Roanoke Valley CLE Seminar and Meeting at NO COST.  Six hours of CLE has been applied for including two hours of of Ethics credit.  All Six hours are "Live" with the presenters in the room in Roanoke; the Westlaw Training sessions in Wytheville will be presented by a live video feed with a moderator in the room.  SRCBA Members can register for the Roanoke Valley Seminar through the submission form at the bottom of this page.  

All other attorneys (and SRCBA members who wish to attend the Wytheville seminar) should register through the VMVLA website and can learn about a special offer from FindLaw to attend the Seminar for free ($25 registration fee will be refunded at the Seminar) or Early Bird registration is available until September 15 at $65, and Regular registration is $75 thereafter.  Members of the Roanoke Bar Association should inquire with the RBA about discounts available through their association.

This session will build upon the key learning objectives offered in the Westlaw Basic (Westlaw I) session to help you enhance your efficiency in conducting searches, dispositioning your search results and, personalizing your workflow.
3:45 PM Mr. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Brief
This writing program will help attorneys avoid the usual pitfalls encountered when writing trial and appellate briefs.
