SRCBA Winter Meeting – March 4, 2019 at 12 Noon at the Holiday Inn – Tanglewood

The Winter Meeting, as always, is our “Lawyer’s Helping Others” meeting supporting the Snack Buddies Program of the Salem/Roanoke County Food Pantry.  There is no charge to attend the meeting, however we encourage members and guests to bring donations of healthy, non-perishable snack foods (100% fruit juice in single serve containers, granola bars, fruit cups, etc.) to support this worthy project.  We will also be accepting donations of cash, check or credit card (please make checks payable to the Salem/Roanoke County Food Pantry).

The meeting will include a presentation by Tim Isaacs of The Center for Teaching the Rule of Law who will give us a refresher training for The Rule of Law Project.  The Rule of Law Project is now in its 10th year in the Roanoke Valley.  The Project sends lawyers and judges into the Civics classrooms of the Valley’s Middle Schools to help teach the students about the important role the Rule of Law plays in supporting our democratic society.

Immediately following the meeting, we will have a CLE Program on Professional Responsibility Rules for Pro Bono Practice.  One Hour of Ethics CLE has been approved for this program.
